Learn how to publish content to your YouTube account in Meltwater Engage.

Prerequisites

Before creating a YouTube post, you first need to connect your YouTube account in your account settings. Learn more about Connecting your Owned Social Accounts.


Creating an YouTube Post

To create a YouTube post in Engage, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar

  2. Select Publish

  3. Click Create in the top right-hand corner

  4. Click Post

  5. Select the check box to the left of the YouTube account you want to publish to

  6. Compose your post

    1. Video attachment; 2 GB limit

    2. Video title; 100 character limit

    3. Video description; 5000 character limit

    4. Privacy: Public or Private

    5. Advanced Settings

      1. Allow embedding: allow users to embed your video on their sites

      2. YouTube tags: tag the video with tags on YouTube

      3. Playlists: add this video to one of your channel playlists

      4. Category: choose from the available YouTube default video categories

      5. License rights & ownership: Standard YouTube License

    6. Video attachment: 2 GB limit

  7. Once you've formatted all the details of your post, navigate to Post time and select when you would like your post to be published.

    1. Now

    2. Schedule date and time

    3. Save as draft

  8. Select an Approval process (optional). Learn more about Assigning Your Social Posts for Approval.

  9. Select Tags (optional). Learn more about Managing Your Social Posts with Tags.

Note: Custom Thumbnail -Engage does not currently support custom thumbnail selection.
